Here’s how we do it

• The first step in the home performance upgrade process would be for us to meet with our customer listen and learn about their known problems and concerns. Next we will do a home energy and building evaluation. We call this process the home energy audit or analysis. 

1. The buildings envelope ( wall cavities, roof insulation)
2. The heating and cooling equipment
3. The air distribution system (ductwork insulation, ductwork sizing)
4. The combustion appliances (gas or fuel fired appliances)
5. Indoor air quality (fumes, mold or contaminated leakage)
6. Thermostats and controls (installing programmable thermostat’s)
7. Other energy consuming appliances (pools, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers)
8. Lighting ( quantitative count of what type of lighting is in use)
9. Solar opportunities ( solar electric or solar hot water heating)

• Step two will be for us to identify opportunities and make recommendations for realistic and affordable remedies to correct deficiencies in the homes energy consuming systems and building envelope. This might include minor tuning and tweaking or for example, improvements to the lighting, insulation, windows or air-conditioning.

• Next we will assist you in determining what work makes the most sense to achieve energy cost savings and provide the best improvements to the comfort and health of you and your family.  Once the work is authorized, the package of recommendations that you determined best achieve’s your goals will be performed by our train staff and specialty contractors.

• Finally once the work is complete we will perform a follow-up analysis and provide you with a report that verifies the building performance improvements achieved by our staff and specialty contractor.

• Our new homes and renovations have always exceeded the Highest Energy Efficiency Standards. It is now our intention to start integrating Renewable Solar Energy products into future projects.

• We now have the opportunity to design, supply and install grid-tied or stand-alone/hybrid photovoltaic electrical systems and solar hot water heater systems. This is an exciting addition to our excellent standards and specifications.

• Remember, to receive State and Federal rebates these systems must be installed by a State Licensed Solar Contractor. Our highly experienced electrical and plumbing subcontractors are now ready to serve you with your solar energy needs.

The  Goldsborough Company was selected by the Florida Department of Transportation because of it extensive preservation background  to assist in the Interstate 4 widening through  Historical Ybor City. This work resulted in the relocation and rehabilitation of multiple historical structures.  Over a three-year period,  the Goldsborough Company rehabilitated 14 historical homes to exact standards determined by the Department of Interior and the National Park Service.
